God or Self-Realization
God is not some Superman sitting on a throne in some heaven. Most of us look at the skies when asked who is God and where is he?Most humans do not have an iota of knowledge as to who is God? What does he look like? God is Eternal, he dwells in each and every being, he is the closest to ones heart.God is one; there are no two gods, God Is Absolute. He is the only Realityin all times. The journey of the soul or the transmigration from one body to another culminates after one realizes the truth within. One becomes immortal. The Lord is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, why can’t we see him or feel him.Firstly, most of us have no idea about God.Secondly, we try to locate God outside and perceive him through the senses. The majority of people are used to worshipping the Lord in a personalized form, more so worship an incarnation of God.True, God is all that we visualize him to be but God is Absolute or Brahman. How can a petty human mind perceive the Absolute? The Absolute cannot be comprehended in the present state of consciousness of mind.Lord is not an object of perception from the naked eye.Absolute is neither a subject nor an object; one has to realize this truth.God cannot be experienced through logic or reasoning.Philosophical arguments cannot lead one to the truth; one has to experience the reality within ones own-self in the state of Super-Consciousness.
We are all used to the worship of God in the form of incarnations. Some of us worship God in a manifested form and few in unmanifested.Yes! God incarnates as a human form, from time to time at different places to restore order or preach the message of the truth. We all worship God in a form what we think is God, with form or without form. But most of us do not know the means to know TheAbsolute and the secret of transcendingthis cycle of birth and death (which will lead to) and attain liberation. It was God Himself in all his incarnations as he manifested in the gross and in subtle form revealed the Secret of Emancipation and attainment of his realm. The process is known as Yoga. Sages termed it “Back to Godhead”.By even a few seconds of the realization one is at once relieved of all thepain and miseries of mundane life. One gets established in permanent happiness and bliss, no more birth and death for such a realized sage, he becomes an object of worship. This is real yoga, union of individual self with the supreme self.
The happiness that we seek in the outer world is not even a fraction of what happiness and satisfaction one gets after realization of the Absolute. The ecstatic state is beyond any description. The pleasures that we seek outside are so ephemeral that one would laugh at ones own-self after one tastes the pleasure of God realization or Yoga. One reaches the summit of knowledge and wisdom. The main link between the being (Jiva) and realization of the Absolute in the state of Super Consciousness is the Guru.
